Awkwafina
Awkwafina started out as a American musician and rapper releasing sly tracks that tackled questions of race and sexuality with a humorous twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood, she could perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was via the trumpet. Jazz, classical and hip-hop studies began when she was a teenager. Concentrating on school she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. When she graduated, she started to focus on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet hit and was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or winking hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. The single that debuted was is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her 2015 travel guide. After having a great career as a singer, she decided to take on the character of actress. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors as well as Storks. In the year 2018 she scored several major roles like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
