Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress has been a model for a while. Kotero is famous for her role as co-star in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer of the group of girls Apollonia 6. She was one of several female performers who gained from Prince's association in the 1980s. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as an actress and model. Her performance had more impression on the charts when she was Prince's partner in Take Me with You, which was a duet in the soundtrack. Kotero as well as Prince had a fallout over her future career. The Apollonia6 duo split up, Kotero was not able to remain in her relationship with Prince. The actress was featured in numerous smaller films, like Purple Rain's sequel Under the Cherry Moon (which she did not want to be in) as well as landing the role of Falcon Crest on the Night-Time drama Falcon Crest from 1985-1986. Apollonia's debut album came out in 1988. But the R&B/dance tracks were not well received by those who bought music. The album soon vanished. In the years following, Apollonia continued to perform in the field of acting (if a little off the radar) and also in a few television roles, films and even an exercise film. In 1997 Apollonia made a record in English and Spanish named Stay with Me. In later years, after getting back to university and earning an award for filmmaking, she founded her own production business. Apollonia Kotero is a multi-faceted person.
